This may be an unpopular opinion, but I hate fetish/porn videos where the participants wear masks. Unless it is part of the plot (ie: superhero, lucha libre, burglars, some BDSM aspects, etc.) there shouldn’t be masks. Even with the exceptions that I mentioned there is a lot of unmasking in the wrestling or superhero videos as part of the humiliation of the loser. It seems that it’s mostly the males in the videos who wear masks. Rarely do you see a female performer wear a mask unless as I said before it’s part of the plot. It seems to me that guys who wear masks are doing it to hide their identities so that their wives, girlfriends, friends, family, and employers won’t know that they are engaging in fetish/porn.
They want the best of both worlds. They want to participate in fetish/porn, but not face the potential consequences of being found out. The female performers are putting themselves at risk of being found out and losing their vanilla jobs or friends or family, but the fragile male is scared. To me facial expression is such an important aspect of adult /fetish films, especially wrestling where the wrestlers can convey their emotions with their facial expressions.
IF YOU DON’T WANT PEOPLE TO FIND OUT THAT YOU ARE AN ADULT PERFORMER, THEN DON’T BECOME AN ADULT PERFORMER!
When I first started making wrestling videos, I wore a mask so that my co-workers wouldn’t find out, but I felt that I was cheating the my fans and myself by not producing what I envisioned in my work which was me without a mask wrestling. So I took the mask off and I occasionally shoot with it on when the script calls for it. So far there have been no consequences although I am prepared to deal with them at some point if it were to happen.
In my opinion it’s still unlikely that you are going to be found out especially in fetish because fetish videos aren’t going to be seen by as many people as porn. More people will view porn than foot fetish or wrestling videos. But anyone going into the business should go in assuming that they will be found out and work from that premise. So take off those masks! Show us those expressions!
Feel free to let me know what you think.
